Our story began with the pearl of an idea.

To honor one woman’s remarkable journey by celebrating all women through a shared love of freshwater pearls and the stories they inspire.

With big hearts and abundant hope, we’re dedicated to donating 2% of all sales to pioneering cancer centers on the leading edge of research, treatment, care and the race for a cure.

As of October, 2023, The Freshwater Pearl Company has been blessed to donate over $21,000 to breast cancer research.

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A month dedicated to raising awareness about the impact of breast cancer.

This year, The Freshwater Pearl Company is not only going pink, we’re releasing our first ever,
limited edition, pink pearl necklaces and pink shawl. The Freshwater Pearl Company will be donating up to $2,020 to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute from the sales of these products.


The reason we selected up to $2,020 for our donation… 2020 was the year my mom (Laurene
Schultz) passed away from her 19 year journey with breast cancer.

With your help, we can actively support more cancer research and find a cure to this
devastating disease that affects 1 out of 8 women in the United States alone.

Key Breast Cancer Statistics

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women. From 2013 to 2018, the death rate went down by 1% per year. These decreases are believed to be the result of finding breast cancer earlier through screening and increased awareness, as well as better and more improved treatments.
