The Freshwater Pearl Company is thrilled to announce our 2nd annual “Get A Pearl, Give A Pearl” campaign in partnership with Uncommon Threads this November 2022!
Last year, The Freshwater Pearl Company donated over $2,000 and 191 pieces of jewelry to Uncommon Threads!
Who is Uncommon Threads?
Uncommon Threads is a non-profit located in Lawrence, a lower-income city near Boston, Massachusetts. The organization was founded by Susan Kanoff, a former social worker and private stylist. She saw a need among the women she served and began working toward a solution.
Uncommon Threads takes an innovative look at helping lower-income women reach their potential by helping them look and feel good about themselves.
The women that come to Uncommon Threads meet with a volunteer stylist to customize their experience to aid not just their fashion, but also their self-esteem. In addition to receiving clothing that suits their needs, workshops are offered to nurture personal growth and learn how to shift defeating inner self-talk.
