Share
Lariat necklaces are a must-have in any wardrobe. They’re chic, super versatile, and really easy to pair with different outfits. We’ve put together some tips below to help you style your lariat necklace to achieve different looks and choose the best pieces to pair with it.
For a visual demonstration, watch this video that Tania from 50 Is Not Old filmed. She’s showcasing our Alana lariat.
The Scarf
To achieve the scarf look you will fold your lariat in half. Wrap it around your neck and pull the loose ends through the loop.
Voila! Now you have a classic scarf look. And you can wear many of your necklaces with this style as well.
The Twist Look
Place the lariat behind our neck with one string on each side. Twist one end over the other in front and let it hang. You can bring the twist as high or low as you want for comfort. Many choose to place the twist at the heart-center.
The Necklace
Grab an end in each hand and wrap one side around your neck 360 degrees. Allow the loose ends to hang down past each shoulder. Adjust the center strap to bring it down towards your collarbone, or leave it tight for a choker look.
Depending on how short you want the loose strands to hang, you can do a double wrap with both ends of the lariat.
The Necklace & Twist
Building off the necklace look previously mentioned. The only difference is you take those two loose ends, twist, and place in the center.
The Backdrop
The backdrop look is an elegant look, perfect for a backless dress or blouse. Did we mention it’s very easy to do? Place the lariat behind our neck with one string on each side. Twist one end over the other and swoop around so that the strands are hanging in the back.
The Choker & Twist
This look will build off the necklace look as well. Grab an end in each hand and wrap one side around your neck 360 degrees. Pull the ends to tighten so that the strap is placed like a choker.
Then take the loose ends, twist, and let hang for a layered look.
